Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then attended at the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in running 200m. The following year, she won the title against her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in each of her events.
